Venturing from city to city and recently returning to Auckland to work amongst other front-runners of the underground scene, Lukas has been killing the music scene. Introduced to production through the friends he used to skate with in his hometown Nelson - he began rapping soon after linking up with local artist and good friend, Timu. One thing that makes Lukas extremely well rounded is his ability to switch between the roles of producer and lyricist, something that is seldom done well.

GZB released his debut E.P, Comfort Clouds, at the end of 2016. The single, Comfort Clouds, caught the attention of playlist curators, bloggers and listeners afar while also currently streaming over 180,000 plays on Spotify alone. He then went on to release his second EP mid 2017 title, Space Academy. He’s kept the momentum going with recent drops like Downfall that gained a lot of attention while managing to earn a spot on the NZ/Australia Viral 50 Chart, sitting in top 5 on both Spotify and iTunes.

Last year, Lukas opened for A$AP Ferg’s NZ/Australia Tour alongside local artists, Pharoah Swami and NXVA, where Lukas was lucky enough to receive props from Ferg himself. To finish the year off on a high, Lukas and members of Small Fortunes and Slo:Wave took to the stages at Rhythm and Vines. They absolutely killed it.

Artists like Lukas, Raka, Hxrman and the other superstars on the bill are the ones pushing the sound New Zealand has been lacking. Get in quick before the spaceman leaves this earth because Lukas is on another level.
